SGSstatsX

The application will only work if you live in a SGS apartment and is running the newest version of is recommended, java (1.6). The application will work under java 1.5, but i recommend updating to the newer version but it is not a requirement. Click here if you would like to know how you check/change your java version. The application also got implemented growl support, that will warn you if the used bandwidth goes over 5 GB. Then it will warn you every time your traffic increases to 10 GB and after that it will warn you every time your traffic increases by 1 GB. The applications also includes a built in statistics view that will show you the date and total traffic amount in a table. And all this is topped with a nifty little progressbar. The data is downloaded from http://web.sgsnet.se/tvbstats/ip.php.

Sometimes the site that the data is downloaded from can be a little slow, but that is just something you will have to live with.

SGSstatsX is developed in Java under Leopard 10.5.5.

I recommend that you check what version of java you have before downloading! Do so by typing java -version in your terminal or click here for a guide!

Download for the preferred java version and unzip it. You must put the application in your "programs" folder for it to work properly.

New in this version is that you have to keep SGSstatsX in the folder it gets unzipped with, and then put it in the "programs" folder. The setup should look like the picture below.
